Our wide selection of hand knotted and hand tufted ranges can be seen at our Wilton shop. You will find a great selection of Persian rugs, Turkish rugs, Afghan rugs, Pakistan rugs, and Chinese rugs, as well as Wilton weave rugs in a variety of designs and textures.
Rug Ranges explained:
Our Persian look Wilton weave rugs are the most popular in our traditional rug ranges. Traditional Persian rugs have been individually woven by hand for hundreds of years. Each rug is individual and recognised by designs inspired by numerous tribes in Persia. Today we are able to mirror certain designs and produce machine woven rugs with that Persian look. Below are some examples of pure Wool Persian design rugs included in our Royal Keshan range of rugs:
 |
Sarouk Red
Rug design originated in West Persia in the village of Saruk. |
 |
Kashan Blue
Rug design originated in Central Persia in the area around Kashan |
 |
Sennah Green
Rug design originated in the far North West of Persia in the village of Sennah
|
Pakistan designs also feature in our Wilton weave traditional rug ranges. Whilst current individual designs for hand knotted rugs are sourced from Pakistan, some designs and finishes originated from Persia. Illustrated below are some examples of 100% polypropylene Heatset high density rugs from our Jaipur range.

Zeigler Cream/Gold – Rug
Manufacturing and design originated from Persia. They were brought to London by Zeigler’s a Manchester firm who were the earliest European dealers and manufacturers of carpet (rugs) active in Persia in the late 1880s. |
 |
Traditional Hand knotted rugs also feature on our rugs website. You will find Pakistan Bokhara rugs in one design over six colours. These rugs are hand made by villagers located in various provinces throughout Pakistan. Due to the rugs being hand knotted, rugs purchased may vary slightly from the image portrayed. This is an unavoidable situation with all hand made rugs. |

Chinese hand tufted fringeless all wool rugs are much easier to produce than hand knotted rugs. The pile is pushed through a fabric backing where it wraps around the fabric’s threads, and is then fixed in place by a latex type adhesive. The finished rug is of a high quality and can be produced with a variety of pile textures. |
